Geralt is not making a nest. Jaskier has noticed this. Geralt is in fact drinking a rather foul-smelling potion that sours the sweetness of his scent and muffles its otherwise obvious meaning.
“Does that stop heat?” Jaskier asks curiously, absentmindedly tuning his lute as he speaks. He hadn’t thought anything could, but, well . . . witchers and their potions.
“No,” Geralt says darkly.

Summary
Jaskier is a very good kisser, and almost kisses Geralt often enough, which is a damn sight closer than most people get. Even when he’s paying for it, he doesn’t get kissed enough. Jaskier gets close, though.
He pulls back, eventually—regrettably—and grins up at him, face flushed and expression delighted. Geralt’s chest aches just looking at him.
“Sorry, I think I’m early,” Jaskier says apologetically, then kisses him again, and again, and . . .
Geralt has no idea what he thinks he needs to be sorry for.

He’s not even really in heat anymore. It’s been so long he’s burned through it, and only the barest traces of it remain in his system; just enough to make him oversensitive, just enough to make him want even past his exhaustion.
