Rhaegar wins, but unlike those perfect "Ratgar wins, everyone loves him and Lyanna" fics. His choices have consequences, and he'll have many regrets.

Notes:

these may not seem important, but they'll be relevant to future fics - even set in the dance (kinda). i'm team green, pro-elia + dorne - i'm sure there are plenty team black or lyanna/rhaegar stan fics out there. i don't despise rhaenyra - infact, if she were an alysanne targaryen and got rid of daemon, i'd support her.

- daenerys is the daughter of rhaegar and elia

- rhaella and viserys live, she marries bonifer hasty. viserys marries the penrose heiress, their daughters are: elaena, aelinor and ceryse.

- jaehaera lives (in some fics), or atleast is the mother of daeron, baelor, and daena.

- house whent is descended from the son of alys rivers and aemond.

- lyanna is a mistress, jon is a bastard. his name is most likely just "jon", bc ned named him.

- aegon vi (the ACTUAL aegon) marries to either brienne of tarth, marg tyrell, or a blackfyre oc.

- cat and ned have one last child, eddara. she's still a baby.

- janna tyrell and robert married, they have a whole load of kids! stannis married lynesse, have 2 kids called steffon and shireen. renly married arianne :)

- cersei married oberyn, idk if she's heiress at this point

- ashara x elia (kinda) 💅

- rhaenys married aemon hightower, son of baelor hightower and rhonda rowan.

- rhaena's hightower daughters married into many houses throughout westeros. namely velaryon, tully, (back into hightower), tyrell, etc.

- i don't ship jonerys or anything like that, sorry. if you want that or an oh so perfect rl fic, go find one :)

- this is mostly show!lyanna.

- the velaryons and targaryens are NOT black in this fic - with an exception for the three bastards of the black pearl and aegon iv.
