Summary
“Nice and steady for me now. I want you to focus on the sensations of me filling you. Of me sliding deep inside and owning you completely. Can you do that for me?”
He nods, the words too much for him to say.
This isn’t the first time that he has visited you. You know better than to ask questions you don’t want the answers to. Answers that might make your time and company seem less like a little luxury — an occasional indulgence, if you will — and more like a risk where the pay-off no longer seems worth the reward.

Summary
“Fancy seein’ you here, luv.”
“Tan?” Your eyes dart this way then that. It won’t do to be seen with Tangerine. Not tonight. “Now really isn’t a good time.”
Eyes narrowing, he reaches up to run a hand over his dark, neatly gelled curls, gaze scanning the room behind you as if in search of whatever has set you on edge. You can’t risk him lingering. You reach past him to place your glass on the bartop. His gaze follows, frown deepening.
“I thought you didn’t drink,” he says, picking up the tumbler and lifting it to his lips. He takes a sniff before placing his lips over the smudge of lipstick you left behind and sampling what is left.
“Not when I am working,” you say softly but firmly. You see the moment that understanding clicks into place behind his eyes. Ringed fingers tighten around your glass. You swear you can hear it groaning beneath his touch.
Tangerine has been a client of yours for quite some time. When an unexpected run-in turns into a misunderstanding, you aren’t sure if your professional relationship can be salvaged — let alone if there is any chance for room for a more personal one to develop.
Can be read as a stand-alone or indirect sequel to Breathe.
