“Birthday boy, huh?” The angel’s smile grew impossibly wider. Jimmy nodded mutely, embarrassed by the attention. “Been good so far?” Skizz kept his attention on Jimmy even as he reached for a glass and began to fill it from one of the taps. He slid the filled glass over to Jimmy, who immediately took a large gulp to hide his flushed cheeks, then choked as beer sloshed down his front. He began to cough, and the netherborn reached over and slapped him on the back, his hands spine-tinglingly warm even through Jimmy’s shirt.
Once his coughing eased, Jimmy turned watery eyes towards the other man. “Thanks,” he rasped, shaking off his soaked hands. “Wow Top, that’s gotta be your new record for getting a man to choke.” Skizz joked, and Jimmy very nearly aspirated on his own spit.

“Behave.” He finally said firmly, releasing her arm.
“I always behave.” Lizzie said cheerfully, spinning on her heel and bouncing off towards the cafe. Jimmy trailed after her with a groan. Why did he have a horrible feeling about this?
