Not only does the officer learn a thing or two about "Jean", but also a few things about himself & the people around him. "Jean" questions her past because of this man, & realizes she doesn't need her abilities to survive. However, she still fears she won't be able to protect the people she cares deeply for... "Yes, I--" He started, breath catching when the man reached out to touch his neck, his large fingers splaying out across his pulsepoint. Jimin could barely find his voice. "...I'm Jimin," he found himself saying shyly, confident teacher facade long gone at the sudden show before him.
The hybrid tilted his head, eyes still glued to the skin below his palm. "Ji...min," he crooned, face serious. "Jim... Jimin."
Tears were suddenly springing to the corners of the said boy's vision, a happy smile breaking out on his lips. "Yes. Jimin."
A moment of silence passed, time being forgotten as the two sat in contentment, the hybrid happy to trace along the other's body and the latter trembling for reasons unknown, overcome with emotion at cracking the other.
The next words made his breath stutter, his fingers clenching at his sides.
"Jimin," the hybrid murmured. "Mate?"

Ban tries to reply but he's interrupted by a deep, menacing growl that crests into a full fledged roar before he can get a word in.
Kinn whistles.

Quiet rustling revealed that the human rose to his feet and Jisung counted the other's steps to ten before he slowly dared to open his eyes again. The gray floor in front of him was empty. What a relief!
The ground was hard, uncomfortable, and so, so cold. Jisung was cold. He pulled his arms between his torso and legs, hiding his hands in the sweater sleeves that were too wide for his frame. One hand moved to pet his tail, but the self-soothing gesture had long lost its effect, no matter how well he avoided the bald and wounded patches all over his tail.
Steps approached, two people this time, and Jisung let out a quiet whimper. Why couldn't they just leave him alone?
One of them gasped, then hurried closer, dropping to his knees. "What happened to you, darling?"
Or: Jisung gets out of an abusive household only to end up in some homeless shelter. The next day, he is advised to go to a place where hybrids can receive help. What he had not expected when he set foot into that place was an offer for a place to stay and seven men who promise him a chance to heal, both physically and mentally.
