The King listens intently as his daughter goes on and on about the stories his husband has read to her, the skills he’s shown her from his homeland and the things she’s been doing while he, himself, is busy with endless meetings. Adoring eyes watching her run around and gesture animatedly about her daily activities.
Domestic life was never his style. He’s lived most of his life fighting (for his people, for tomorrow, for the future) and it never left much time for him to wonder about the future, what it could bring. However, there is nowhere else he’d rather be than in this moment with his child.
