The remnants of Sephiroth were incomplete souls however each had the makings to be something more if that just had more time. Time she could give them, to be something more than that of fragments. However, if she sent them alone, they would break, or break the world really. Luckily her good friend Cloud was right there and he always had problems saying no when someone needed help. Maybe together he could change and help more than just the three if given the chance. If he could get past the Turks, Shinra, and Soldiers wanting to know why there were three children running around that looked like mini versions of the General Sephiroth and their keeper a blond man who just might be stronger.

Summary
Sephiroth’s parents, Hojo and Jenova, died in an accident not long before Christmas. If that’s not enough of a shock, he learns he may have two other parents due to originally being an experiment! Thrown by the sudden loss of his parents, and learning he had another family kept from him, Sephiroth decides to take his three kids with him to meet his other biological parents, Lucrecia and Vincent, for the first time in a little town called Nibelheim. It just so happens that Nibelheim is also home to another single dad named Cloud Strife, who might be the stubborn, soft hearted light the grieving family needs for Christmas.
Or Sephiroth is the big city protagonist who is forced to go to a small town for Christmas and meets the local boy he’s destined to marry.

When she is informed of her future as Hojo's newest lab rat, she picks a fight she knows she would never win. A fight which caught everyone's attention and has altered Shinra's plans for her. When she finds out that her SOLDIER mentor is someone she definitely is a fangirl of, will she be able to remain sane while also dealing with being trained by him? Will she manage to cope being the first official female SOLDIER? But more pressing - how will she use her knowledge of potential future events? Will she save her mentor from a monstrous fate or allow things to play out?
To complicate matters further, there's a mysterious shadow looming - one that looks like her mentor but isn't.
Notes: This is a re-write of a story I last worked on 11 years ago. Things have changed and the plot is vaguely different. There are some obscenities, but all F-bombs are censored.
Update: Sephiroth has to face a question that deserves an answer - is it worth it to seek a compromise?

1) Sephiroth almost corrected the first person who called Aerith his sister, a woman they’d met before they were even out of Midgar’s slums complimenting him on taking such good care of her, while their mother shopped.
2) The other half of Project S took after their father.
3) Blue eyes contemplated him narrowly for several seconds, and then Genesis’ smirk came back, lying on his face more easily, somehow. “So brothers-in-arms to the skirmish shall we hence?”
4) It felt wrong to be relying on anybody but Mother, but Mother…only cared about Sephiroth, and it wasn’t fair. Loz sniffled. “Will she take care of Yazoo, too?”
5) Sephiroth nodded, and bent forward, and peered at the squashed little pink thing until it stirred, objecting probably to cool air on its face. “What’s his name?”
“Cloud."
6) “Cloud,” he said, his fingers tightening on nothing because he had cast his own sword down, atop the coiled piles of his hair, “do you not remember?”
(Five times in five worlds where Sephiroth was somebody's brother, and one where he wasn't anymore.)
