A slave's life as she knows it comes to an end, her old aching body sold at a steep discount, a horrifying reward for her years of unwilling service.
I've just been in love with the entire idea of "heavily discounted slaves" and just the sheer horror and despair that comes with that, a whole life sold for cheap almost exclusively to the kind of people who would use up their slaves fast enough to warrant needing to buy them on the cheap. A whole life with dreams and thoughts and ambitions sent to hell to make someone pocket change.
Probably something I'll explore more in different ways in the future. -
