They are a dynamic, but untameable and inseparable pair on the pitch (and off) bounced from team to team until they end up blackballed as adults at the senior level. Summary
“I’ve got it!” Isaac proclaimed standing suddenly and walking over to the strategy whiteboard, flipping it to the blank side. He then started to draw out some sort of diagram, quickly titling it ‘Not Being Homophobic About Colin’s Sex Life’.
Colin’s mouth was hanging open as he watched in silent amazement and horror as the team debated how to categorise various sexual activities. At one point, someone suggested that images might be a helpful aid, and next thing he knew, there were about 15 different stick figures having sex scattered across the whiteboard.

Summary
Jamie was the first to speak, “You’re smart and shit, right?”
“Uh.” Trent blinked at them all.
“Like, you read a lot?” Sam clarified.
He nodded.
“You are gay as well, yes?” Jan asked.
Trent stared at the horde of footballers who were surrounding him. “Yes?”
Isaac nodded seriously. “Perfect.”
“For what?” Trent asked, looking increasingly concerned.
OR: Trent interviews Colin, the first active Premier League footballer to speak up about his sexuality. The world proceeds to lose its shit. (It's the one everyone's been waiting for!!!)

Summary
Isaac pointed his fork at Colin accusatorily and very calmly stated, “I’m an idiot.”
Michael looked at Colin, who appeared to be just as confused as he felt. “You might not be an academic, but you’re not dumb, boyo.”
Isaac shook his head. “No, I’m stupid because I forgot you,” the fork stabbed forward ominously, “-have a boyfriend.”
OR: The truth comes out (and so does Colin).

Summary
“Is this gonna happen every time?” Michael asked, still slightly dazed from being overrun by eager footballers.
“Eh,” Colin wiggled his hand back and forth, “-they’ll probably get over it at some point.”
That was a lot less reassuring than he’d been hoping for, and his voice was higher than intended as he squeaked out, “Probably?”
OR: For the first time in Colin's life, the people around him actually knew him... the full version of him. It was fucking exhilarating.

Summary
Jamie always had terrible – what was it? – gaydar. Never had a chance to develop it he supposed. It would have been nice to have. Just be able to explore that part of himself a bit.
So, it really shocked him, how once he started noticing, just how many gay people there were at Richmond.
--Five times someone comes out to Jamie and one time he comes out to someone else.

Summary
“What the fuck was that for, then?” Jamie asks, his voice feeling so fucking loud in the quiet space between them. Roy lets out a growling noise that goes straight to Jamie’s dick.
“You think you can just stroll into training, looking gorgeous in that fucking skirt, and expect me not to do anything about it?”
There are a lot of things in that sentence to fixate on, but what comes out of his mouth is “You think I’m gorgeous?”
(Jamie wears a skirt to training and Roy can't handle it)

Summary
It was something Jamie always did, and Roy fucking hated it. Every fucking time, Roy’s blood boiled. It set his body a flame; it made his fucking heart race. He looked like a fucking child, his hand pounding on his chest and his tongue hanging out of his mouth. It was there, past his bottom lip, begging to be sucked on.

Summary
Sometimes, Jamie has days that are just bad.
Where his skin feels too tight, like it's stretched thin over his bones and there’s no way to be comfortable. Days when he feels like a shadow that’s peeled itself off the wall and decided to pretend to be a real boy.
(Jamie has a shit day, and sometimes you just need to cry it out. Colin helps.)

Summary
Jamie gives him an awkward, charming little wave. “Hiya Will, you all right, yeah?” Then he shoves Roy’s shoulder with an exasperated huff. “What the fuck, you didn’t do a Will check?”
“You were the first one in the room! First person in the boot room’s meant to do the Will check.”
“Yeah, well, that’s the first I’ve heard that rule.” Jamie rolls his eyes before turning back to Will. The nerves at being caught seem to have vanished, from him if not Roy, and he gives Will a once-over that makes him squirm. “What are we gonna do with you, William?”

This was not the self-discovery Ted had expected to make in his forties, least of all with Trent Crimm. And of course Jamie just had to walk in at that exact moment.

Summary
“See, I can get behind the idea of putting a feeling or two in a box, you know, when you can’t stop turning them over in your head and nothing’s changing. There’s a time and a place, my man.”
He stands, replacing his hat back on his head. Roy squints a little at the design.
“What the fuck is that?”
“A shuttlecock,” Beard replies, reaching up an index finger to tap the embroidery. “Obviously. Anyway, like I said. There’s a time and a place for that, believe me. I get it. But getting more acquainted with your feelings instead of putting them up on the shelf can’t hurt. It’s a step up from putting all of ‘em on a shelf, at least.”
“Every time you talk this much, I never know how to respond,” Roy says faintly. “It’s fucking disconcerting.”
Or; a partial Diamond Dogs interlude, followed by a surprise in the car park.
