Bucky has an idea, one Sam won't agree with but they need help and he holds all the information. Bucky needs to convince Sam to break Zemo out of jail to help stop the people making the serum.
First hey need to find out who is making the serum. Luckily Zemo has an old friend who might know what is going on in Madripoor and who is making it. But as always nothing is free, everything comes with a price.
Sam on the other hand is not particularly happy with the plan but Zemo and Bucky both agree to their roles as Handler and Asset, so Sam agrees to be the famed Smiling Tiger. Things quickly go south the moment they step into that room.
He wanted to tell Sam, on his own terms. He never meant for Sam to find out this way. God this is a horrible way to find out. His only hope to repair their relationship is to talk it out, a really long talk.

Sam’s used to them enough that their shine doesn’t snag his attention, break his concentration, too much. The same cannot be said for Bucky where Sam’s shirtlessness is concerned. Life for Sam was going great, things were finally settling down in his role as Captain America and he and Bucky were working great together as a team. Well, that was until his Heat Suppressors started wearing off sooner and now he's in the field and feeling the start of his pre-heat. Sam isn't ready for the world to know his designation, people are only just getting used to the idea of Captain America being black, he's not sure how they would react to him being an Omega too.
Swallowing a handful of emergency, short-term, suppressors Sam's determined to finish his mission but his proximity to Bucky Barnes, the one single Alpha his Omega has decided it will accept as a mate, is only making his meds more ineffective. Bucky doesn't know his designation either, he's never asked and Sam has never brought it up.
Bucky loves working with Sam, he feels they're making a difference. Suddenly on a mission, Bucky can smell a distressed Omega, but Sam is the only person around. Bucky realises he needs to get Sam home and safe and be there in case he needs anything. But Sam can't leave the building smelling like he does. Sam has an idea Bucky is skeptical about, but Sam asks Bucky to trust him, so he'll have to.

Sam had attempted to talk to Bucky about it the first few times, sitting down by his side and holding his hair back as he emptied his stomach; but the second Sam brought up the obvious reason for what was happening, that Bucky was probably pregnant, Bucky didn’t allow him to help anymore.
It was probably just the denial talking, Sam knew that Bucky wasn’t truly upset with him to the point that he didn’t want his comfort anymore–Bucky just needed to process what was happening before he could talk to Sam about it.

After years of missing out on Halloween with his nephews, Sam was determined to do Halloween right this year. If that meant coaxing Bucky into joining the Halloween celebrations too, complete with a Wilson family group costume, so much the better. The fact that this would involve spending a lot of time sharing all the wonders of the Halloween season with Bucky was just a fun benefit that definitely didn't have anything to do with Sam's growing feelings for his partner and housemate.
