“I can’t hurt your family, huh? You’re clever Fordsy, that’s why I like you so much!” Bill dissolved the triangular cage surrounding Ford and Stan, and Stan dashed to sweep up Dipper and Mabel protectively. “You know how I love a little ‘will-they-won’t-they-destroy-the-world’ in a galactic takeover!”
In a moment of quick thinking, Ford Pines has tricked Bill into a deal that protects his family from Bill's wrath. Stan Pines tries to balance keeping it together for the kids, protecting a hostage Ford, and beating Bill at his mind games.
As for Bill Cipher, well, the demon can't for the life of him figure why everyone thinks he's actually in love with his former science partner. It's a joke, guys!

Stanford Pines, twenty-eight years old, has had the strangest six years of his life. Now, Ford's having the time of his life- discovering anomalies beyond anything he could've ever imagined, meeting new friends in the form of Bill's henchmaniacs, and preparing a safe haven for his family as he tracks their progress across the country.

Stanley Pines, twenty-eight years old, has had a life full of ups and downs- so, so many downs. He’s living a shitty apartment, is running low on money and owes big payments to several influential gangsters. In short, life’s not looking too great.
And to top it all off, the apocalypse has begun.
Now Stan has only one thing on his mind: get himself and his family to New Jersey as quickly as possible. Only it’s not as simple as it seems. But picking up the weirdest family of hitchhikers won’t deter him, nor will the goons hunting him down, nor will the fact that Ford isn’t picking up calls anymore.
Yet as he travels across the country to get back to Glass Shard Beach and reunite with his parents after so long, one thing is weighing on Stan’s mind.

What he does mind is the way Stanley seems persistent not to fall through the rift and make this easy. Even a good shove doesn’t seem to do the trick; if it weren’t for the gloves, the presence of another six-fingered hand touching his own as it catches his fumbling twin would have been very disastrous indeed.
“Hey, who are you to…” the voice that had spoken from the rift fades halfway through the sentence. “Oh. You’re me.”

Summary
Stanford Pines believes his will to be everlasting. One could compare it to a diamond, the hardest substance there is in nature. Yet, a diamond is brittle, able to shatter under the right circumstances.
Reality dissolves, lost between what it is and what could have been.
Perhaps this could be one of such circumstances.
Or: Stanford surrenders his dimension and himself to Bill during the events of Weirdmageddon, in the hopes of keeping his family safe. He finds himself struggling to formulate a plan to defeat Bill and restore his world underneath Bill Cipher’s presence.

Summary
Integrating Sixer into the henchmaniac gang meant making him comfortable. It also means getting him used to the uncomfortable things. Bill is confident that Ford just needs some adjusting to becoming what he was always supposed to be.
There was determination in Sixer's eyes - a spark there, waiting to be turned into an inferno.
That spark of interest that he solely missed to see when it was directed towards one of his projects, instead of only working against him like it had been for the last thirty years.
Ford just hopes what he does have to do doesn't haunt him too much by the end of it all.
