In which Maedhros once told Maglor that Angband’s government was very might-to-right so, upon waking up in the past after haunting the shores through the Fourth Age, he decides that he could probably beat up a balrog or two and marches his ass across the Ice to bitch slap Sauron.
Sauron finds himself unexpectedly okay with this.

Summary
Melkor has broken through the Doors of Night and escaped from the Timeless Void. He has fled back to Middle-earth to Angband, the last dark citadel of the north since the fall of Utumno in the First Age. Melkor’s chiefest servant, Sauron, has heard his master’s call and joins him there after the fall of Eregion to further plot the dominion of Middle-earth, having failed to obtain the rings of power and unable to forge his own in the land of Mordor.
Galadriel, one whom Sauron had previously aligned himself with through deception, still burns from his betrayal years later. She now roams the wilds with a company of Elves and is eventually captured by forces from Angband and taken there as prisoner. When Melkor takes Galadriel for his own pleasure, Sauron is torn between the Elf he had developed treacherous feelings for years before, or his master that he bound himself to many millennia ago, and that he worships and serves with all his body and soul.

A collection of stories from the perspective of various Exiles of the Eldar, starting just after Alqualondë. This is slightly AUish, as I'm adding details here and there, but events will still follow the same path. I'm making the dark twisty story darker and twistier.
You don't have to read them all or in order, but it's important to understand that in the first story, Fëanor cuts off all of Artanis's hair as punishment for her fighting against him at Alqualondë. Basically, this sets the tone for everything to follow.
