Non c’è molto da dire: anche volendo, Jean non avrebbe comunque saputo trovare grandi parole per descrivere ciò che succede dentro di sé quando nell’entrare nella camera di Marco, trova una finestra spalancata e un letto vuoto.
È come se d’improvviso, tutta quella sinfonia di suoni, odori, ciglia scure che fluttuano un paio di volte al suo ingresso, e che Jean appunterebbe sotto l’etichetta di ‘familiare’ alla parete delle cose belle, di colpo, cessassero di esistere.
Di colpo svanissero dai suoi pensieri, come se mai ne avessero fatto parte.
La sensazione, è un po’ come quella che si prova quando scendendo le scale al buio, dopo l’ultimo gradino non si trova il pavimento come la nostra mente, per errore, crede di ricordare.
È solo grazie alla sbadataggine di Lia che non crolla: mai avrebbe immaginato che un giorno, lo spigolo di un carrello contro una costola gli sarebbe stato tanto caro.
“Oh—Jean! Accidenti, Jean!” grida, porta le mani al volto, “Che diamine ci fai qui impalato sull’orlo della porta?!”
“Do—dov’è Marco?”
Il grugno di Lia perde di colpo tensione; con fare da bambina sgrana gli occhi, batte le palpebre perplessa.
