Summary
While excavating the tomb of the Adluvinian Pharaoh Nanook, archaeologist Phainon unwittingly resurrects the ancient ruler.
“I could break you, scholar,” Nanook remarks, his tone one of casual cruelty. “Were I a few centuries younger, I would have ripped out your insolent tongue.” The plush mouth yields beneath the pressure of his thumb, the seam forced to part. “I would crush your pride and fortitude, piece by piece, limb for limb, until nothing remained but ruination.”

Summary
Nanook stepped down from the sarcophagus, wisps of dark shadows instead of feet silent on the stone floor. They reached out, not with hands, but with something deeper—pulling at the soul hiding deep inside Phainon.
"You wore many names. Lived many lives."
"But one thing shall never change; you will always be mine."
"Return to me… Khaslana."Phainon dropped to his knees, gasping, trembling under the weight of centuries old memories that wasn’t his.
