The thing is— Ghoul knows what Party’s like, when they’re annoyed or upset about something. They’ll kick up a fuss and stomp around a little, but they aren’t ever actually *really* upset. Not even when Jet ruined their hair, or when Kobra accidentally broke their favorite set of headphones, or when Ghoul broke one of the brand-new expensive colored pencils the Doc got them for Christmas. They’ll bitch and moan and whine to anyone who’ll listen, but they’ll forget about it and move on in a day or two, and all’s forgiven.
He won’t say that they’re all bark and no bite, really, but they sure as hell do a lot of barking in the meantime.
“Some, some—“
Party gestures wildly with their hands as they talk, nearly knocking Kobra Kid’s milkshake off the table in the process.
“—some centre-city brat!”
Kobra shoots them a glare, pulling his shake back protectively to his chest and out of the danger zone.

Party seems to notice him staring at their blood coated lips because their tongue darts out briefly to wet them. They inhale deeply, measured.
“Eye’s’re up here, sweetheart,” they whisper, and Ghoul’s eyes snap back up to Party’s. There’s something curious and dark swirling below the surface.
“Red suits ya,” Ghoul replies, equally as quiet. They raise an eyebrow and lean against the wall behind them, tilting their head with a small, knowing smirk.
“If they find us, dying would be considered a mercy, y’know,” they point out. Ghoul inhales shakily and Witch, there really is something wrong with him because his dick twitches at the thought.

The singer stared right at him. Surely he was just sweeping the crowd, it must look like a sea of faceless people from up there, but… fuck, it felt like he was staring into Ghoul’s soul. It lingered until the end of the song, as if Kobra Kid was singing just to Ghoul, as if he was the only thing that mattered in the world.
Kobra’s mouth arranged itself into a wicked grin, revealing canines as sharp as fangs. His lips were painted black, stark against his pearly teeth. He was still fucking staring.
