After finally being released from her months-long isolation in the Shadow Realm, Lena has to adjust to having a physical body again. Going from being weightless and intangible to being contained by a mortal vessel is a very drastic change, not to mention the lack of sensory stimuli in the former. Suddenly she is overwhelmed by simple smells and sounds, and is struggling with things that were so easy before, like getting a glass of water.

But he couldn’t because she was there.
But she was making too much noise. She was being too much of a burden.

Summary
Lena has a very poor reputation with maternal figures. She lashes out preemptively to protect herself before they can hurt her, then goes into hiding afterwards, terrified of the consequences. Della terrifies her the most. Magica only spoke so gently or smiled at her when the worst was about to happen, so she avoids Della as much as possible, only able to think of when the facade would break. It doesn't help that she has heard of Della's fiery temper.
. . .
Lena just wants Magica to love her. But maybe someone else can fill that void in her chest. Someone who reminds her of her favorite person in the entire world.

Lena is used to Webby's ways of showing affection, generally physical acts like hugging or holding her hand. However, she shows it in other ways, too, like finding so much joy in something that she flaps her hands and bounces and tells her all about it, hoping she can feel the joy from it, too. Lena wants nothing more than to make her happy, seeing her face light up as she goes on long rambles about the topic of the day that has taken her interest. For the past few weeks, it has been Minecraft, and what else is a cuter idea than a date in a block-filled world? Not to mention, an excuse to go to her house.

Words like "you're safe" and "I love you," like "I've got you" and "it's okay." Coming down from a meltdown is never easy, but it is so much easier with the lilting voice of a loving parter whispering reassurances into her ear, holding her so tightly it feels like she can finally breathe. Falling asleep with her two best friends is nothing she isn't used to, but it feels lovely every time, especially after feeling so vulnerable and recieving nothing but unwavering kindness and understanding in return.

Summary
The formation of self-concept, defined as a person's ability to maintain consistent opinions and beliefs about oneself and others, begins in early adolescence. This stage of life is characterized by "trying on" different identities to discern what feels right and true. The starting point for identity development is an adolescent's environment consisting of the building blocks of family life, social life, and other defining life events.
Webby thinks that if her building blocks of identity had been lined up on a table, her thirteenth birthday party had flipped that table onto its side and then kicked all the blocks away into dark corners where she could never find them. It's amazing what a mere twenty four hours can do to completely dismantle a person's sense of self beyond repair.

“Mr. Duck, I presume,” a tall chow-chow lady said from behind them.
“Yeah?”
“I am the executor of your great-grandfather’s estate. Will the others be joining us?”
“Others? What others?”
As if on cue, a plane flew over them, dropping someone off on parachutes. Someone who became increasingly familiar as they approached the ground, playing a cheerful tune on their umbrella, and eventually landed upright with the graciousness of an autumn leaf pecking a puddle. Dear lord.
“JOSÉ?!”
Then a bus arrived and kicked no one but Panchito Pistoles out the door. He managed to do a somersault for a – not only safe – but spectacular entrance.
“PANCHITO?!”—
A Three Caballeros Separated AU where Panchito and José helped Donald raise the triplets. The triplets have to learn how to live together again at the McDuck Manor. Also, everyone's starting to suspect Webby's new friend Lena may be getting a rough time at home. -

Webster's Grampy never scolded him for liking girly things. He's starting to think he should have, so that he wouldn't have gotten the taste for it in the first place. It'd have made it easier to quit.
