It has been several years since humans and monsters were reunited, and several hundreds of years since they were separated. Most of the human population had come to accept monsters as equals across the globe - some even worshipped them - and a new sense of civilization had been born. Everyone was happy, having found friends, family, and even lovers, just like you and Sans.

When an unknown source violently strikes the largest anti-monster city, they blame it on the other race. The evidence points directly at monsters, and people quickly become suspicious. When the barrier shattered the pent up magic needed a few hosts and so the few which were the most mage out of everyone had been overloaded with magic. This was because it awakened the mage in you causing your magic to go wayward.
Due to monsters being the cause of this and a few hand-picked monsters were picked to house the affected. It was thought that by putting them together the magic stuck in you would stabilize causing you to grow.
You were housed with a skeleton. They chose to house you specifically with his brother both being boss monsters. Sans the skeleton was a scientist. You were constantly measured and smothered in affection... This is before well... It turned to love.

“Jeez,” She finds herself sighing, pulling out an umbrella from under her bed. “Just when I was having a good dream too. Can’t you come by when it isn’t raining?”
She walks over to the window and opens it in the rain. He stands there, watching her every move. His heart was pounding and his cheeks were flushed red. She smelled a lot like lemons, it was her favourite scent.
“I want to like you honey, but you make it hard for me,” Ava murmurs sleepily. A hand under her chin as she sleepily looked into Peter’s loving gaze. She places a hand on his cheek and gives it a little tap, noting how warm it was despite the low temperature surrounding them.
“Come inside and we’ll talk conditions,” The girl sighs again. “You’re gonna get yourself sick staying out there for too long.”
It wasn’t like she could outright ignore him. Even if it was successful, the world was bound to reset again.
There needed to be some change. Even if it costs Ava her pride, she wanted her death to be the final destination. -
