Summary
They say that Death is the oldest and most powerful of the four horsepeople, that Death has been around for longer than the others and will remain long after they’re gone. But that isn’t true. Death’s and War’s “human” bodies formed when Cain spilled the red blood of his brother. But War existed before that, in Heaven, She was the red of the sparks made when swords clashed together, She was the red of the blood mixed with stardust, and She was the red of the Hellfire that consumed over a third of the heavenly host. And when humanity is gone, and only angels remain, there will be no more need for Death. Angels have no souls to take. But it’s unlikely that they will ever stop fighting, that they will ever know how.
