Summary
(EDITS and new chapters coming, Feb. 2020--the muse is back!)
Cecil is the Voice of Night Vale. This is common knowledge, of course, and each night, the calming baritone of his voice sweeps over the city, bringing news and insights to each and every citizen of the small desert town.
Why is it, then, that Cecil was missing for four years during his time as an Intern? The prophecy came true, and a Radio Host needed to be created. The others didn't last, but Cecil was strong enough to survive Station Management, after all.
Years later, he lives a quiet and happy life, with a one Carlos the Scientist, perfect and gentle, caring and loving. But the past dies hard, and it may be time for Cecil to prove his loyalty to Night Vale one more time.
Post Cassette.
Much of Cecil's back story, including abuse/rape/torture is present here, so do tread carefully.

Summary
Trying to see reality for what it truly is is a noble endeavor.
It’s also an inherently doomed endeavor -almost certain to take the mind and life of the attempter. In a world which may merely be a collective delusion, where truths can change shape or even attack outright, there is something marvelous about even half-hearted attempts to understand. Nevertheless, hidden under mundane impossibilities lurk truths that should never be revealed. Truths better off with their screams silenced; abandoned to the mercies of the void. And that is what Carlos, dear, dear Carlos simply does not understand.

Summary
My quick, oneshot (probably) attempt at beautiful 'weird poetry' style of Night Vale. All the respect to Jeffery Cranor and Joesph Fink as these characters are theirs and are as interesting as they are vague, like the show they come from. This is intended to be set somewhere in the beginning to middle of Season Two as I am currently starting Season Three.
I intendeed to extend this oneshot into a full "episode", but this is just what the plot bunnies offered me.

Summary
The first time Carlos met Cecil, he promptly forgot about it. The second time was a bit more memorable, when he actually paid attention and noticed the third eye. But it wasn't until he was poisoned and battered and bleeding that he realized how far Cecil was from normal.
Maybe he should've asked what species he was BEFORE he started dating him... -

Summary
"He didn’t have any illusions that acceptance alone would cement his place in the Evil League of Evil.
He’d have to do well at his new missions, or he’d be quickly, quietly disposed of. If anything, his rite of acceptance into the Evil League of Evil would only increase in intensity. He’d have to top the stunt that put him here, and then top it again.
His brain, usually so clear (he blames this on the alcohol) stutters, restarts, and then mutters sibilantly, “You’ll need to do worse than murder.”When Billy realizes that the Evil League of Evil want him to do even worse things than the murder that made him (in)famous, he drops out. You don't drop out of the League- it's just not done. Bad Horse wants him dead, and now he's got the worst of the worst on his tail. He escapes into the desert, where he reaches the strangest place he's ever been.
The voice on the radio tells him, "Welcome to Night Vale."Meanwhile, Carlos is missing. Cecil thinks he's just retreated into his lab to wrestle with another impossible Night Vale phenomenon, when he finds Carlos' note: he's been taken for re-education by the sheriff's secret police. Somehow, Cecil has to get Carlos back before it's too late.

Summary
Cecil receives a worrying phone call from an unknown source that sends him running to Carlos, his beautiful scientist. Carlos reassures him with fluffy times, but that happiness will not last.
First chapter is fluff/second is angst and sadness.
