Kindof based after the York New arc, not sure how far it will go. I am new to the HxH fandom and I haven't read the manga yet but I really wanted to write about this ship! Sorry if I get anything wrong, I might change things here and there to suit my purposes. I have no idea how long or short this fic will be right now. Hope you enjoy!

Rouen, France, 1895
Leorio, a young Italian immigrant, came to France to find a job. But, as he arrived at Rouen’s train station, he was immediately accused, by the lady he had shared his wagon with, of having stolen her necklace. He escaped just in time, aware he wasn’t the culprit, and ran away. In his escape, he found refuge at L’Oeillet vert, a cabaret, whose owner accepted to hide him in return for becoming a waiter for the night. However, it was without taking into account the real reason behind this sudden offer, the previous waiter had been assassinated.
Kurapika Kurta, the owner, was certainly the most charming creature Leorio had ever seen, but it was obvious the murder was linked to his past. For now, if Leorio wanted to make it out alive, he would have to help Kurapika solve this mystery.

Summary
A nen attack leaves Kurapika without any of his traumatic memories. He doesn't remember the massacre, or the spiders, or why he is supposed to hide his scarlet eyes from outsiders. He can't even manifest his chains anymore.
Neon has no idea that anything is wrong. Kurapika is way more fun like this!
Melody and Basho fear for him, but Kurapika looks so happy...

Summary
The difference between a marshmallow and a video of your close friend masturbating is that a marshmallow can only be eaten once. A video, however, can be enjoyed as many times as you please.
Watching the video becomes Kurapika’s bedtime routine. He grows familiar with it, memorizing timestamps the way you might memorize a neighbor’s face. At 1:03, Leorio takes his dick out. At 3:01, he plays with his nipples. At 4:04, Leorio jostles the camera, revealing his mouth for six seconds before he notices and adjusts the angle.
Kurapika watches those six seconds like he’s studying scripture. Replays them so often it becomes a meditation. Watches for the quirk of a smile when Leorio moves to adjust the camera angle, not embarrassed exactly, but a little shy.

Summary
After her adoptive parents are brutally murdered by the Phantom Troupe, Haruka Utashima vows to avenge her late parents, while also working towards her goal of finding out who her biological parents are. Everything changes when she meets Kurapika Kurta, a young man who has the same motive of hunting down the troupe. Over time, the two become close with one another and begin to form a bond.
But when Haruka begins to regain memories of her forgotten past, her true origins are revealed. Kurapika learns that he's not alone and Haruka realizes that she's not who she thought she was.

Leorio groans.
“God damn it, that’s just the thing, isn’t it? You think of life so transactionally. It’s not that I want something from you, Kurapika. I just want you.”
And at last, Melody’s close enough to discern Kurapika and Leorio’s heartbeats.
Leorio’s is thundering as if it were trying to escape the confines of his chest. As if everything inside of it was too large to be contained, and, if unhindered, would swell large enough to rival the sea beside them.
Kurapika’s is frantic and overwhelmed, filled with so many contradictions that Melody struggles to identify a single emotion on its own.
Walking home along the Yorknew seaside, Melody overhears far more than she anticipated.

The thousands, borderline millions of people who had pulled that same metal handle back to unveil the glorious congregation, searching for salvation, might as well have had their sins renewed, given new flesh, in the act of Kurapika’s entrance alone. It was enough to unearth the Devil, light a fiery rage to the stone-cold marble fixtures and empty pues. He shuffled inside with impossible stealth, a whole and filled silence, while his dreadful aura screamed at the top of its lungs.”
Kurapika finally gets a lead on his first pair of scarlet eyes since the auction. A priest, of all people.

Summary
His eyes adjust to the harsh sunlight enough for him to make out the captain’s face. He looks unbelievably young, younger than himself even. Chin length blonde hair hangs greasy in his face, over an eye patch covering his left eye. His right eye is blood red, and the sight of it sends shivers down Leorio’s spine.
“What’s your name?” he says finally.
“L— Leorio,” he says.
“You will address me as Captain, or Captain Kurapika,” he says curtly, before turning to talk to a woman. “Keep him in the brig.”
“Alright, Captain. Why though?” he hears her ask.
Leorio sees him shrug slightly. “We need a doctor,” he says, before turning away. “Welcome aboard the Scarlet Eye, Leorio.”
