Summary
Meteor City is a place where children are thrown away like garbage, but also a place where they grow. Sometimes with the help of nannies, sometimes with the help of parentified siblings.
In another life, June, May and April would have been raised by a loving mother and a nanny. But in this life, with the help of the old mayor, they raise each other until they are old enough to leave.
April, the youngest, never really pictured herself leaving. Until she met Olive, an ill baby boy she took under her wing. Surrounded by sickness, she is forced to flee and escape misery to find a treatment for the boy.
April has never seen the world outside of the mountains of trash she grew up in. She leaves lost and alone and it is a race against Time itself. How will she accommodate to this new environment and this new range of possibilities?

“Ah… to think… I would be alone in my last moments… Somehow, this just isn’t right…”
Laying on the side of a sparkling lake, Gon was looking at the dark sky, with tears in his eyes, thinking back on how he got there in the first place. He saw all his close friends die and stayed with them in their last moments. Feeling the wind, he felt envious.
Envious to the fact that they were not alone as he is right now.
Once more…
“I wanted to see them… at least, one more time…” Gon said, as he closed his eyes and tears finally fell on the ground he was laying on.
“Gasp!”
Cold sweat ran on his back as he got up in a familiar room, lying on a familiar bed. His limbs are shortened and field of vision lowered. There, he realized.
I… did I go back in time?
