Summary
John and Evelyn Dutton are the largest landowners in the United States with four adult children - Lee, Jamie, Beth, and Kayce. Despite their love for and devotion to family, John and Evelyn never told their middle son about his true origins. When Jamie learns the truth at age 39, it tests the family in more ways than one, calling into question the love and devotion that they have shown one another and casting a light on Jamie's complicated relationship with John. Jamie isolates himself from his adoptive family and met his biological father, half-brother, and cousins, leaving his adoptive family hurt and confused and Jamie with some serious physical and emotional scars.
