He shifts a bit in his seat, feels the gun on his hip weigh a little heavier than it should. Can't stop thinking about the way Jamie's eyes had rested on it for just a moment, the horror in his gaze…
Biting back a grimace, Kayce looks to John, almost for assistance. Of course, he gets none. John's eyes are focused on the road and his hands are tight around the wheel, but the way his eyes flick back and forth from the road to the mirror to look back at Jamie is enough indication that he wants to hear Jamie state the truth aloud more than Kayce does. To be honest, Kayce's almost content to just let it go, but there's a part of him that wants John to hear it out loud, too.
He wants him to know what he's doing to his son.
