this may be the most self-indulgent fic i've ever written
Leverage and WTNV are both such comfort shows for me, mashing them together just makes sense.
Anyway
Takes place roughly in the last season of Leverage and slightly behind current in WTNV. Once Mother Lauren comes back into town, intern Karim hires the leverage crew to take down strexcorp once and for all. Of course, none of the crew is expecting anything that Nightvale has to offer. The team must figure out how to con a god while navigating the fact that Hardison has no internet, Parker is remembering strange things, Elliot can't seem to trust his instincts, and Nate doesn't know how to predict an unpredictable town. Sophie is everyone's mom. Like usual.
The chapters will probably be quite short, cause I'll be honest, I'm writing this in between tasks at work and have to speed-run each chapter before my co-workers see I'm slacking off

Some things, Cecil is not allowed to broadcast. Sometimes under threat of death by a vague, yet menacing government organisation, but there are other reasons. Sexual content is banned, to protect the minds of the least protected children in America, and this is a good thing most of the time. The rest of the time is when Carlos does not find out about The Black Cloud That Smells Like Paint Thinner until it is too late. It's lucky he knows Cecil's number.

Carlos watched Cecil’s face as he said it, but he wasn’t entirely sure what he was watching for. As far as things went in the bedroom, Cecil was an open book. More accurately, he was a large neon sign. If there was anything new Cecil wanted to try, Carlos found out about it within a very short amount of time.
Which made the whole thing even more confusing. He had followed up on the charge a little, just to make sure it wasn’t fraudulent, and found a hard working woman on the other end of the subscription his husband had paid for.
Carlos wasn’t jealous, but he was confused. Cecil wasn’t attracted to women.
“Oh, that?” Cecil lost interest in the conversation, going back to scrolling through tumblr on his phone. “I helped Nora buy a fan.”
The sentence processed. Carlos pressed his lips together and tried to decide if this was a Night Vale thing or if this was a Cecil thing.
“What?”
“A fan,” Cecil repeated, glancing back up at him with a frown. “It's right there in the title, Carlos. Only fans.”
