V2 wanders through the layers of Hell, fighting off machines, demons, and sparing chance encounters with the mysterious V1. As V2 fights and banters with V1, he becomes more and more obsessed with outdoing and impressing him, desperately pursuing him through the layers just to prove he's the superior V model. V1 reciprocates this, viewing V2 as an annoying brat who can't handle being beaten. He just has to show the amateur how it's done. They both claim to do it out of hatred and disdain for eachother, but there's something deeper here. If you truly hate someone, surely you would want to be as far as possible away from them, right? Your relationship would be a mess of pain and anguish, and both parties would want nothing to do with each other. But no, they relish in the thought of either one's destruction. They see eachother in a fated duel, one to triumph over the other and prove himself superior. Neither can exist without the other, one must be inferior. Despite what they may believe, they're perfect for eachother. After all, they are one in the same.
btw if you couldn't guess, V2 lives past 4-4 this time around.

After killing the Council and suddenly finding his flame being returned to him, Gabriel comes to the conclusion that his only path forward from here is to help the machines to erase Hell to the groung. Of course, he doesn't plan to let these ever blood hungry creatures to operate when everything will be set and done. But what does he need to do when the time comes to finally get the upper hand over the machine that defeated him twice already? Perhaps he should find a way to get close enough to learn its patterns.
V1 was sure she made her message loud and clear when she beat the angel two times in a row and let him go. But it seems the idiot still didn't get the memo... Or he did, but not in the way she expected. She doesn't know what made him throw a husk's corpse at her as a "peace offering" the next time they met and the whole "the path to our goals seems to align" didn't inspire her with any confidence. There was something between the lines she couldn't point her finger on. She would humor him if only because she knows she can beat him if something goes wrong. For now at least.

V1 would beg to differ; the garden’s he’s sown and the colorful flowers he’s blended together count be considered nothing short of masterful brushstrokes across a canvas of not-dead Earth. His hands can handle delicate flower stems and their fragile circuit boards with the ease of long practice. But for his own sake, they decide to drop that particular line of debate.
“YOU GOT THIS.” The warmachine tells him confidently, and leans up just a little more to bump their bezel against the lower part of his cross emblem in a brief kiss. “I TRUST YOU.”

A machine rapidly descends into Hell, one of two of its kind. It feels, knows, and thinks- yet doesn’t at the same time. It kills, slaughters almost mindlessly- yet not out of malice. It has a purpose, somewhere, lost within desperation and senseless bloodshed. Surely it was built for something- what else would require such blood-absorbant armor and a frame optimized for unrivaled agility?
V1 ponders this purpose it never knew, a purpose it was never provided- and relishes in the exhilaration provided once it is finally found.
[This is all basically a big first draft that I’m proud of. I’ll keep it up once I’ve improved. But yeah that’s why it may be a little short and fast. Enjoy anyways!]
