Every thirty to fifty years, a new generation of Light Guardians awaken. They are five people whose incredible powers are awakened when the first of three Abysmal Monsters rises from the shadows. Once the third has been defeated, they disappear and leave behind only stories and legends of their might and bravery.
This generation so far has seen only two: Sparkplug and Heavyweight, who don't seem to get along once the monster is slain. And when a third Light Guardian appears with a shadowy figure by her side to fight an incredibly strong Sadness, no one is sure what to think -- but everyone is sure going wild with speculations and theories. Has something happened to the Light Guardians? Why aren't they acting like a team? Why haven't the last two revealed themselves? Who is that shadowy figure?
And why did this have to happen right before midterms?

Vaugarde is under siege. A powerful man has taken over the small town of Dormont and began freezing the country in time for unknown reasons. The chaos caused has spawned sadnesses the likes of which haven't been seen before, as well as monsters from the depths of the underworld breaking through to stalk the lands. The situation altogether seems hopeless: either Vaugarde freezes in time or falls to the monsters.
That is, it would be...Save for an unlikely hero. A young woman named Mirabelle, blessed with strange crafts.

Summary
Eight years after the events of the time loops, a lot has changed. Bonnie, now nineteen; splits their time between working and acting; Odile has moved back after years back in Ka Bue, Siffrin still itches to travel the world while Isabeau heads a tailor shop, Mirabelle is in for the change of a lifetime. They had sort of lost touch over the years, much to each other's chagrin and regret.
So when old history starts coming back for another round, the choice to seek each other out again is easy. However eight years is still a long time, and sometimes old wounds fester instead of fading.

Suddenly, there was movement in the camera. “Eyes up, Mira. They're awake,” Odile said, glancing sharply to the screen.
Mira spared another glance to the preamble, then cleared her throat and spoke into the microphone. “Hello?”
No response. Was it a fluke? Were they not actually awake? …No, they moved again. There was a flutter in the eyes, a squint against the bright fluorescent lights.
She tried again. “Hello?”
“Mrgghhghhh…” The figure on the table grumbled, raising a hand to rub their face.
With the confirmation that they were listening, she continued with the preamble. “Hi there, you on the table, I was wondering if you’d like to take a brief survey?”
No response.
Mira coughed. “Um, It’s just five questions! I know you’re sleepy, but I just bet it’ll make you feel right as rain!”
“F’vemormin’tes…” The figure on the table mumbled, then rolled onto their side and went straight back to sleep.

You were still here. Still in Dormont. Still without your family. And now, with no actors to guide and no script to follow, you've been left behind without any purpose, no stage directions or greater goal in mind.
You always wanted out of the loops, out of those same endlessly repeating two days, out of dying over and over and over and over again, out of having to hear the same blinding things on repeat for all of eternity.
But now, now that you're out, now that you're free... You're no longer sure what you want anymore.
Or, Loop still exists after the events of ISAT's one-hat ending, and is left to pick up the pieces of their life, or what remains of it.
