Summary
Thrushpelt had promised, all those moons ago, that he’d never let another kit be taken by a fox. When his sister Dappletail’s son, Featherkit, goes missing, he learns that promises are as fragile as the wings of an insect stricken by frost. When Dappletail’s other kit, Cricketkit, is found to have disappeared into the dusk during a violent hailstorm, Thrushpelt braves the torrent to find them. He may not have the power to keep his promises, but that won’t stop him from trying with everything he has.

Summary

However, the entire forest is in danger due to the actions of Star Broken Tail, the leader of Shadow Colony. Will Rusty, now called Fire, be able to save his new home?

Of all the things Rusty had been expecting when he first stepped foot in the forest, the life he went on to lead was not one of them.
Of all the things Fireheart expected to result from Tigerclaw's exile, becoming the Deputy to a mentally deteriorating Leader was not one of them.
Of all the things Firestar was expecting to happen when he finally lost his ninth life & joined Starclan, being sent back in time against his will because Bluestar went mad again was not one of them.
Of all the- actually, no. Fire's done having expectations because he always ends up being hit with something he never could have imagined, and he's fed up. Time to wing it.
(He ends up getting hit with something he never could've imagined anyway)

WORK IN PROGRESS - I may not end up actually doing anything with this, it's more of an outline than an actual fic anyway, but I wanted to see what other people thought of this convoluted mess that I made. Or at least, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Some things are subject to change. This is also wildly inaccurate to canon and I'm pretty sure every character is OOC at this point. -

Swiftpaw was often a mouse-brain, but his sister Lynxpaw thought that for once he had a very solid idea - track down whatever was stealing prey in ThunderClan, and become heroes. Sure, she thought it was an even better idea to fight the dogs, but who could blame her? She'd come out victorious against RiverClan, and she was incredibly bitter Bluestar ignored her in favor of "kitty-cursed" Cloudtail. She was riding high with the need to shed blood.
She'd never imagine she'd never become a warrior in the worst way possible.
Dead, Lynxpaw arises to StarClan, mourns the lose of her life, and finds comfort in a face she'd never thought she'd see again.
