It’s stupid. Having a crush on a customer is just dumb, especially when the guy is a morning regular who has never said anything actually flirty. Friendly, occasionally, but most of the time he seems barely alive, like he just woke up from four hours of sleep. But it’s not just that even worn to a shadow he’s life-ruiningly hot, there’s also something about him that makes everything in Curtis melt into an unrecognizable sugary mess.

Hated to wake him up.
T: I’ve been married for eight years, I know that is not the most embarrassing story you could tell about him, but I’m sure it was pretty bad at the time, huh?
C: He looked like he wanted a wormhole to literally anywhere to open under his feet, yes. And, well, my family says I’m a mother hen, but I was worried about him if he was that tired. I can be very shy, but the second I realize you need looking after, most of that goes out the window.

If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be this: don’t listen to Lance. Ever.
Unable to watch my hopeless pining over Shiro, the man I’ve been in love with for my entire life, Lance suggests I find an outlet for my feelings and entrust them to paper.
What sounds like a reasonable idea goes horribly wrong when the love confession ends up in Curtis’s hands, which leaves me watching helplessly as the com technician uses my note to convince Shiro they belong together.
If I intend to preserve my friendship with Shiro, I have to keep my mouth shut and let it happen, no matter how much it shatters me on the inside.
So, it bears repeating. Never listen to Lance.

"Captain, are you all right?" Curtis called while waving a hand in his hand in front of Takashi's face. His own face was contorted in worry and confusion.
Takashi pulled himself out of his stupor and replied with stammering, "Y-yes?"
Curtis's face was now more relaxed after hearing his response and pushed the mug toward him. "Coffee, sir"
Takashi took the warm mug in his hands and took a long sip, relishing in the caffeine that flooded through him, awakening his synapses.
He smiled gratefully at Curtis as he pulled the mug from his lips. He was met with a fond smile and felt his stomach fluttering, he blamed it on the lack of food he had had in the last 8 hours.
Takashi's body seemed to love betraying him as his stomach made a loud grumbling noise, expressing how hungry he was. The tips of his ears went crimson from embarrassment. Curtis's adorable laugh that he covered behind his hand did nothing to simmer his flustered state.
