As Dimitri paces, he casts surreptitious glances at the sofa. At the body laying limp on the sofa.
Rolling his eyes, Sylvain loosens his own tie, resigned to settling in while Dimitri makes up his mind. He’d been caught red-handed by the prince last time, so what could he do but offer to share in the future? He stamps down his annoyance; he’s never liked sharing his toys, but sometimes it simply can’t be avoided.
“Are you sure it won’t wear off… he won’t wake up?”
Sylvain shrugs, taking another sip. “I’ve got more if he does. He’ll be out again like that."
“And he won’t remember any of this?”
“Never has before.”

“What happened to you?” Felix spits. “You’re just like him.”
“You think?” he snaps. “What happened is I became what I needed to to survive. No one came for me, Fe. I gave up hoping for someone to save me a long time ago.”
“If you let me go, we can-”
“You don’t get it, do you?” he laughs, running a hand through his hair. “I’m not a prisoner anymore, Fe. I can leave whenever I want.”
“Then why haven’t you?”
“And go where? Back home where I’ve already been replaced?”

Sylvain picked Felix into his arms, holding him close to his chest. He placed a kiss to his lover’s temple. It was Sylvain who had destroyed Felix’s body, who had the right to do such things, who did what he must to make sure things were right. He couldn’t have Felix forget that.

“I surely can’t have that,” Sylvain backs away just enough to clear the air, reset any tone he accidentally caused and dismiss her worries. “Then I’ll just keep a close eye and stay out of your way. Once we’ve conquered this side of the Alliance, we can make up for stolen time with tea – how’s that sound?”
“That sounds beautiful.”
It won’t last.
Of course, just a brief moment has to be destroyed again, but the whispers of a nightmare. The voice beyond the Goddess takes Sylvain’s throat and robs him of his words. He swallows down, a gaze of copper falling away from Mercedes’ periwinkle. For how beautiful her eyes are and how gorgeous his time is with her, his fist feels empty and his veins feel full. He bites his lip and gives a half-grin to Mercedes, and waves himself off.
“I’ll let you be. I have some chores to attend to anyways.” He lies and steps away before he can hear Mercedes give her goodbye. He hates her goodbyes anyways; it's best to mute them away.

He peels the blankets back and climbs over Felix. Anticipation runs like liquid fire in his veins as his drunk friend starts to squirm under him, faint whimpers and confused whines rumbling in his chest. Maddeningly adorable.
It’s the easiest thing in the world to take his slender wrists in one of his hands and pin them above his head, even with Felix desperately squirming under him. With his other hand, he covers his mouth, muffling his cute little sounds.
“Quiet,” he breathes in his ear, careful to keep his voice nothing more than a rough whisper. “You don’t want someone to come in and see what a little whore you are, do you?”
