One night, a thousand dreamers dream that Desire and Dream were always in love and a close married couple.
Dream is plunge into this new relationship remembering the previous antagonist one or rather what life could have been had it not always been dreamed this way.
Everyone just confused why Dream is being so weird to his spouse Desire and Desire is hurt by the sudden attitude change and afraid they did something again they don't know is wrong.
Also Dream can't get over the fact that apparently everyone has a better life in the world where he and Desire end up together.

They have been having issues among their soulmate pairings for millennium. Delirium decides that she's wants to fix that.

Yet another take on the Hob-rescues-Dream-from-fishbowl scenario, but in this case it's a look at the aftermath.
Post-rescue Dream is extremely weak and can't access his powers properly, nor the Dreaming. He stays with Hob to recuperate. Lots of cuddling because Dream is touch-starved, Hob playing nurse, and both friends realizing *feels* slow burn style.
Also. Hob thinks Dream is way too proud for someone who needed the TLC of a toddler. And if no one else is going to take Dream down a notch, it's up to him.
