Summary
Eli Shane, his slug Burpy as his only companion, did not live happily on the Surface after his dad went MIA. He thought that maybe, to deal with pain, he had to make it himself. He could control it, make it work for him.
It took years, to realize how insanely terrible that idea was. And friends, to protect him when he encouraged the pain to swallow him whole.
