Evangeline "Angie" Grieves is a Southern Belle, quite ironically born in the Capital Wasteland, away from any and all southern culture.
Arthur Maxson, born and forged in steel, was raised in the Capital Wasteland by the Brotherhood of Steel.
The two of them are childhood friends, yet barely remember one another. If not for that gate that kept the two separated, they would forget entirely that they were never alone in the wastes.With the arrival of the Brotherhood in the Commonwealth, Angie decides to pay them a visit to make a deal.
This deal goes wrong, for both Angie and Maxson.
Or;
Angie and Maxson have issues and fight like an old married couple as they reconcile and get potentially stuck in the Capital Wasteland again.

Quand la guerre approche, chacun choisit son déni.
Certains cèdent à la panique et achètent leur place à plusieurs millions de dollars dans un Abri Vault-Tec supposé offrir la vie éternelle après la catastrophe nucléaire.
D'autres, moins fortunés, se contentent des Abris de préservation Pulowski, comme si ces cylindres métalliques pouvaient protéger ne serait-ce que d'un tremblement de terre.
Et, d'autres encore, préfèrent laisser cette petite voix, ce murmure qui souffle : si ça arrive, ça sera ailleurs.
Ces derniers, bienheureux, balayent l'information du revers de la main, comme une mouche envahissante. Ils vivent un jour à la fois, et continuent de faire comme si de rien n'était, alors même qu'ils savourent une tasse de thé comme si c'était la dernière.

Summary
Duke of the Atom Cats has been scavenging for a while, scouring the Commonwealth for parts. When his armor starts acting up, he tries to make it back to the garage before it won’t work at all. Unfortunately, it picks the worst place to seize up, and he’s sure even the angel in his armor—a painted face of a scarred woman from before the bombs—can’t save him.
