Summary
After moving on from Sam and Dean, Castiel decides to go on a case of his own. Unfortunately, the case goes wrong, which leads him to become injured, sick, and de-aged with no memories, making him think he's still living his childhood. Sam and Dean both are struggling with raising a de-aged version of their best friend and finding a cure for the spell that was put on him. When de-aged Castiel meets Sam and Dean, everything comes crashing down.

Michael closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. He didn’t want to be stuck babysitting the little fledgling. Really, he and Raphael avoided them altogether. But Lucifer had just insisted that they bring Castiel along on one of their routine checks on Earth (had to make sure everything was following God’s plan and all), and five minutes after they all arrived on land… poof. Gabriel and Lucifer had flown off to who-knows-where, probably planning on doing who-knows-what. Leaving Castiel here. With him.
Michael groaned.
Childish, yes, but he couldn’t be The Adult all the time. And it was just one little fledgling here with him, so--
Wait.
Michael whirled around, suddenly very aware of the fact that Castiel had been completely silent while Michael’s eyes had been shut.

Summary
Lucifer was Castiel's guardian before his Fall, but after he was cast out, nobody would accept Castiel anymore, deeming him to be as corrupted as Lucifer. Castiel and Lucifer meet again after many years, and Lucifer becomes angrier at the fact that his brothers had abandoned Castiel. Castiel didn't want Lucifer to fight, but upon realizing that he still would, decided to take drastic measures and performs a ritual that requires the blood of an Angel. Predestined battle forgotten, the two Archangels rush to Heaven to get Castiel some help, as Castiel's Grace screams for help.
