Héra's cousin has offered to abdicate the throne should she ever marry and produce an heir to the line of Helm, unfortunately for him Héra has her heart set against marriage, so he will need to ensure the line of kings himself. Unfortunately for him being king of a wartorn country with empty coffers and not even a golden hall to boast of makes finding a willing and suitable bride difficult. Luckily Héra is more than willing to help him out a bit.
Yes, this is stupidly long. There is a lot of detailed world building and two adults having a fairly healthy relationship with open communication and decent problem solving skills.
I can't believe I have to say this but please no soliciting for fanart commissions in the comments. Also, I have noticed that there are some very inconsistent spellings of certain Gondorian cities. I write this mainly between 4-6am before work and sometimes things slip past me. One day I'll go back and edit.

Uma releitura de The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, misturando alguns eventos das outras historias de o senhor dos aneis: Após voltar de uma cavalgada Héra Hammerhand, única filha do lendário rei Helm Hammerhand, e informada por seu irmão Hána que eles tem visitantes de Dunland (Terra Parda). A noite o encontro com os visitantes ocorre e todos ficam surpresos ao ver que o lider dos visitantes é Wulf, filho de Frecca, agora nomeado rei de Dunland após quatro anos de guerra contra os Orcs do Norte. Wulf foi a Rohan negociar a paz, mas Helm não acredita em Wulf, a situação apenas não se transforma num banho de sangue graças a intervenção de Héra que pede para o pai não fazer isso, e por ela Wulf cessa as hostilidades e parte, mas não sem antes ambos trocarem um olhar intenso.
Esse encontro definira o futuro da Terra Média e a vida da princesa de Rohan e o frio rei de Dunland, os preparando para guerra que virá. -

His mother's mare is old now, but age brings wisdom and an archer is only so dangerous as his horse is trusted. She gets him where he needs to go. Wulf dies with an arrow in his throat, just as Haleth had. A second lodges deep in his belly and a third clips General Targg's shoulder as he dives to catch his lord, too late. Háma does not stay to see his corpse tipping over the edge of the watchtower, nor pay any mind to the hideous crunch and snap of a body breaking, just turns his horse and sprints for his family. -

His farrier recommends some self-care, including seeking out company when things get too dark. Luckily for Fréaláf, his ex is still part of the éored at Dunharrow and they are on good enough terms to talk and cuddle. Ethelwine gets mentioned in Tenth Queen of Rohan and I decided to develop his character a little. Heavily inspired by showed_up_late_to_the_muster's incredible work about a couple within one of the éoreds that rode to war with Theoden.

In everything I've written for the WOTR fandom I've decided to have Fréaláf's father be a Dunlending. I think it adds a greater depth to the story and forces some contemplation on the relationship between the Rohirrim and Dunlendings. They have a complicated history and I hate seeing the Dunlendings categorized as uncivilized people who hate the Rohirrim without talking about why that conflict exists. This is the story of his parents.
