You were never one to believe in myths. Despite the superstitions your crew mates constantly followed or avoided, it never rubbed off on you. You simply couldn’t believe things like mermaids or fairies existed, you had no tangible proof of them aside from kid's tales and supposed sightings reported by others. There was always an explanation: sea mammals, large bugs, coincidences, you name it. You especially didn’t believe in vampires. Humans-turned-monsters that needed to drink blood to survive? The very notion seemed impossible to you.
That is until you just so happened to come face to face with one within the very walls of The Revenge.
