Summary
Chiba Natsumi is quiet, reclusive and never involves herself in anything outside of her studies at Shūjin High School. In her mind, she's got a good reason for this, not that anyone else knows what this reason is. The devil is a handsome man.
Akira learnt this during his stolen evenings, when Goro Akechi of all people would turn in his trademark smile for something softer; the rivalry carefully built between them becoming *so close* to companionship. Against his bitter judgement, they were almost considered friends.
Everything between them changed when Akechi confessed that he hated him, it changed when he was told that he's been envious of him, and it changed when he wanted to make a final deal with him.
He never would’ve said no.
And so, he changed Shido’s heart, continuing to hold onto his glove and wait for Akechi to come back. For their final duel, where Akechi would, supposedly, beat Akira.
But he never did, and Akira told himself that it was easier to mourn his ghost than to mourn what could have been. But, grief always came in waves, and when Akira thought he might’ve been close to drowning, Akechi pulled him out of the water. He knew better than to reach for him, but he did anyway.

6 Years after the events of Persona 5, Ren thought he had put his thievery behind him. However, it's hard to reliably fight corruption when your opponent is pulling every dirty trick out of the book, even using what might be the Metaverse despite its apparent disappearance years before. And with their adversary attempting to ruin their lives one by one, Ren and co have no choice but to fight fire with fire.
Donning his infamous mantle again, Ren, his friends, and confidants set out to fight the corruption in the best way they know how: by becoming (or assisting, or in some cases, even joining!) the Phantom Thieves once more in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse that may hold much more than what originally meets the eye. They don't have the Metaverse to cover their tracks this time. If they're caught, it's over.

After returning home to Inaba and discovering that a beloved group of older friends are all Persona users, Ren Amamiya has spent several months reconnecting with both them and a familiar face in Shiho Suzui. But as much as he loves the Investigation Team, Ren has an unbreakable and irreplaceable bond with the Phantom Thieves. And he has been looking forward to reuniting with them for their summer vacation.
Unfortunately, a looming threat involving a new form of the Metaverse has decided to rudely interrupt the Phantom Thieves’ vacation. Even worse, the transition to the Jails has stripped Ren of his Personas and reduced all of their Personas down to level 1. But the Phantom Thieves have faced overwhelmingly unfavorable odds once before, and they won’t let this stop them from saving the world a second time.
Meanwhile, the Investigation Team is far from thrilled to discover that a new threat to humanity has risen, and that Ren has gotten himself wrapped up in it. They’re even less thrilled to learn that Ren has been chosen to undergo this Fool’s Journey, limiting how much they can help him. But none of Inaba's persona users are content to remain on the sidelines for long, not while Ren and humanity are in danger.

For Ren Amamiya, a high school student buried by a million masks, all he can do is try to find some purpose to the museum of his learned behaviors. A theater of pure mimicry with a show that might please everyone.
