Summary
Deep in paradox space, on a doomed offshoot of the alpha timeline, a meteor spins both impossibly fast and yet agonizingly slowly towards a rebooted session of SBURB. On this particular cold and dark meteor, only three beings remain alive. A Bard of Rage, a Knight of Time, and our protagonist for this story, the Rogue of Heart.
For the last several weeks, she has been spending her time making preparations and training for a Task of monumental proportions. She must get to the Knight in order to escape her doomed timeline, and in order to do that she must get through the Bard. The only option she has left is to kill him.
Revenge has nothing to do with it. The fact that he brutally murdered her moirail, her flush crush, most of her friends, and almost every other version of herself that she has encountered is just an incidental detail. Don’t worry about it.
