Summary
Tommy's gaze shifted from his wrist to Boffy's ghostly form, his eyes filled with questions. "What does it mean, Boffy?" he choked out, his voice raw with emotion.
A gentle frown tugged at the corners of Boffy's translucent lips, a flicker of warmth amidst the ephemeral glow. "It means we're connected, Tommy," he said, his voice carrying a mixture of sadness and resignation. "I'm a part of you now. Whenever you see a ghost of someone you have or had a strong bond with, you can get connected. Your life forces sync, I physically can't get away from you now without disappearing, and you can't be away from me for too long either."
"So, you mean... we're bound together?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Boffy nodded, a bittersweet smile set in. "Yes, Tommy. Bound together, even in death," he said, his voice soft and filled with a sense of resignation. "Our connection goes beyond the realms of the living. It means that as long as you're alive, I'll be here with you, guiding you, protecting you, sadly."
