Summary
Tommy hasn't had the easiest life, not when he ends up estranged from his brother and being raised by his other brother after his father left. Somehow, he keeps losing the most important people in his life, again and again and again. It gets to the point where he starts to wonder if the common denominator might just be the reason why, yet somehow that doesn't make it any easier.
Through growing up, starting a country, watching it burn to the ground, and being exiled Tommy has found himself losing everyone important to him. When he ends up in a frozen tundra, faced with an estranged brother he assumes wants him dead, the last thing Tommy expects is kindness.
Lucky for him, Tommy hasn't been quite as abandoned as he thought he was.

After dying in exile, Tommy is brought to his mother in limbo where she allows Tommy to visit the SMP however he pleases, just not as Tommy. Kristin and Tommy end up visiting Phil and Techno in the arctic and things get messy when it's revealed that Tommy is dead. Can they save their relationship, or is it too far gone?

War is an awful thing and she doesn’t need to see it.
He wonders if he’d see it differently if she were a little older, if she were eight years old with bigger fingers to wrap around the handle of a sword.

“They offered, but I said no. Not until the baby was born. I want him to have a better life than I could. It’s not fair to deal him bad cards just so I can stay around a little longer.”
“You had a great life!” Techno nearly roared, gripping the duvet like a lifeline.
“It wasn’t what it should’ve been.” Her fogged over eyes were roaming the room. “And I will always regret that.”
