Gojo had only taught him how to summon the divine dogs, claiming that they were the only ones he got for free. It made no sense. Why would Megumi have to pay for his other shikigami? When asked, Gojo had brushed his question aside, assuring him he'd explain later, after Megumi learned to control his cursed energy. Until then, Gojo wanted him to focus solely on mastering his divine dogs.

Satoru crossed the room and plopped himself into his seat. He picked up his fork and dug in without a word. Megumi was really spoiling him today. He wanted to delude himself into thinking it was because the kid had never seen him drunk before, but one cursory glance upward destroyed that thought. The flat look in Megumi’s eyes as he tried to hide his disappointment was all too familiar.
He knew.
It was something, at least. One relationship he hadn’t managed to entirely fuck up.
