Summary
One different choice, just one, puts Harry Potter on an entirely new path in life. A path where he gets the help he needs and deserves with adults that actually do their jobs and with a Magical Guardian that is willing and able to truly keep him safe in all his years at Hogwarts and beyond.
Meet a Harry Potter that might be many shades darker than in the canon books, but who also is so much happier and safer. There will be dark times, distress and angst, but in the end, happiness will prevail. This is a feel good, or at least feel content, story and the reader should never doubt that Harry and his friends will come out on top, no matter what difficulties they might face. After all, they have a lot of competent and highly protective adults on their side.
This is a Work in Progress, and the author makes no guarantees for when, or even if, it will ever be finished. Read at your own risk.
The work is based on the characters, world and situations from J.K. Rowlings works and world. No money is being made.

“Hmm, I like that. Lord Voldemort’s throne room.” Voldemort said.
James’s eyebrows rise. “Yeah, about that—what the hell kind of name is Voldemort? Flight from death, seriously? Bit on the nose, huh?” James teased.
“It may be, dear one,” James’s breath hitched, Sirius spluttering, “but yet it still revokes fear in certain people. Plus everyone needs an anagram for their leader name, yes?” Voldemort said in amusement, crimson eyes gleaming.
James swallows. “Yes, well. I mean—don’t get me wrong—I like it!” James said hastily. “It’s just ... you really couldn’t have thought of a better name?” He knew his voice came out whiny. Having to think of the fact he’d possibly be bonded to someone with the name Voldemort was a little too out there. And the fact that their children (if they had any that is—and nope, James Potter, get your head out of there—you cannot imagine little dark-messy-haired children with crimson eyes) was just a knew brand of crazy for the leader of the marauders.
“If it makes you feel better, dear one,” James’s heart literally skipped a beat and he feared he was dying for a moment, “I was fifteen when I came up with it.”
“Okay, that makes me feel a little better.”

POV Remus et nous serons d'accord qu'ici, Greyback n'est pas un gros degueulasse comme dans l'histoire originale.

He didn’t bow his head. Merely waited as Voldemort reached a pale long finger out and brushed his fringe back. “The symbol of my downfall.” Voldemort hissed, face drawing into a scowl. Harry tilted his head to the side.
“Or your way to victory.” Harry said, smiling. Voldemort’s eyes pressed into his and he said nothing for a long moment. “Use your magic on me. You’ll realise. You’ve always been smart and knowledgeable.” Watching Voldemort parse through the meaning of those words, he waited. Then a tip of that long finger pressed against his scar and that heady magic enveloped him. His eyelashes fluttered in pleasure from the contact. Then it was gone abruptly as it’d pressed in.
🐍My horcrux.🐍 Voldemort hissed, eyes widening slightly. Harry nodded his head and thought about rising but decided against it. This position was hardly hurting him, and he knew to the outside world it’d put him more in their favour as it looked like he was following their Lord. “You knew.” It wasn’t a question, but Harry nodded anyway. “And what is it you want?”
“Simply.” Harry let a smirk, dark and cold, lift his lips. “You.”

Wetting his lip, he let McGonagall subtlety usher him towards the table. He took a seat, eyes fixed on his clasped hands.
There was nothing said for a long moment. All that was heard was the rustling of parchment and the scratching of quills. The sound of the quill nub clinking against the glass ink bottle.
Finally, Minister Fudge spoke up. “We’re here because you’ve decided to cease the war.” Said the simpering man. Harry glanced up, watching the man dab a handkerchief to the sweat sliding down the bulging vein of his forehead. Grimacing, he looked down once more, tightening his fingers around each other. His knuckles turned white.
“That’s correct.” Voldemort hummed. Harry’s shoulders drew up.
More silence echoed around the room. There was more scratching of quills. All Harry could think was what the hell did they have to be writing about? His life? News flash, Ministry of Magic it was over.
His teeth wore at his lower lip.
“And your one term of this is marriage to one Harry James Potter in order to cease the war.” Fudge said. Hesitancy and wariness in his tone. Voldemort chuckled lowly.
“That is correct.” He said once more.
