Summary

Han continues to deal with his missing time and struggles with being worthy of Leia. Leia continues to deal with her heritage and her spiraling relationship with Han while building a New Republic. This is their story in the spaces between.

If you asked Han Solo what this tale is about, he would say it is the story of how he, a handsome and courageous spacer captain, became the favorite acolyte of a terrifying eldritch void deity, joined the Rebel Alliance, and helped save the galaxy from an evil space wizard.
If you asked said eldritch deity, currently going by the name Firmus Piett, he would say that "favorite" is a bit of a stretch.

Summary
After Alderaan miraculously escapes destruction prior to the Battle of Yavin, Princess Leia returns to it despite her wishes to continue helping in the fight against the Empire. Han sticks around with the rebellion, and everything seems to be going fine... until it becomes revealed that the Alliance is floundering in debt and the only way to recover is to get King Bail Organa to support them once more. This may prove difficult, however, since Bail cut all ties with the Alliance following the destruction of the Death Star nearly three years prior. Han and Luke go on a mission to Alderaan, bringing them face-to-face with the king... and Leia.

Han Solo's ship being destroyed was never in his plan to escape Tatooine, but without anywhere else to go he asks for help from Jabba the Hutt whose debt-ridden claws sink further into him each day. But the tables turn right onto him when his secret past comes to life.or
A spaceship was all Luke needed to leave Tatooine, to leave the life of a farm boy behind him. All of it lay in front of him, just a little less than a dream away.
