Summary
The one where Stiles was born a werewolf and became an alpha when he was eight years old after his mom was killed. Stiles' dad knows about the supernatural, Scott did not grow up in Beacon Hills and has been a wolf for about a year before he moves to Beacon Hills and becomes Stiles' first beta. Derek is angsty, smart and pining for Stiles has serious trust issues and is bent on vengeance.

She needed to focus on something simple and mundane or she was going to start thinking about how drastically her life had been changed due to the amount of shit that had gone down in the past hour. Like the fact that she now knew werewolves were real, or that the thing running around Beacon Hills wasn't a grizzly bear, or a cougar, or whatever and was in fact some kind of juiced up psycho werewolf, or that the kid she considered a second little brother was one of said werewolves, or that she almost had to saw the arm off of the dude currently passed out on her couch.
Who was also a werewolf.
Oh dear god, she almost had to hack off a werewolf's arm.

Mal Stilinski had a lot going for her: two pain-in-the-ass little brothers, an apartment, a job at the local animal clinic, a car that started every time without fail. All in all, she had a perfectly normal life.

Set just after Gerard and the Kanima have been dealt with. Stiles is recovering, physically, but falling apart emotionally. His relationship with Scott is strained almost to breaking point, he is finding it harder and harder to maintain his crush on Lydia and his Dad is no longer even pretending to believe the constant lies his son is telling him. Something has to break soon, and it looks like it might be Stiles, If only his mom was here, to help him cope. But she's gone, and all Stiles has left of hers is a recipe book, some old photos and the overgrown mess of her once fabulous gardens in the backyard. Maybe he should ask Derek to help weed them for the first time in years? At least that'd be pretty to watch. “What is this? Is this from crashing the jeep?” Shockingly, it sounded like actual concern. And surely, Peter could see the ugly bruising on the side of his face. He had to know Stiles was hurt. It just angered him all the more.
