Summary
“I spent the whole funeral service wishing for that man to drop dead.”
“What’s your name?” Eddie asked.
“James. And the soldier they put in the ground today was my fiancee, William.”
Eddie sucked in a breath. The people who had been protesting at this funeral before the man collapsed had held such hateful signs. Eddie also knew the man that had collapsed, was chanting some very vile things through a megaphone.
And this man – James – had to listen to all of it while trying to bury his fiancee.
Or: The 118 was called to a military funeral where a protester had collapsed. Afterwards, Eddie meets the fiancee of the soldier who was being buried. They have a conversation that brings up things from Eddie's past. The universe is screaming at Eddie, but Eddie isn't listening.
A canon-compliant rewrite of the military funeral call from 2x05 'Awful People'

Summary
However, the biggest surprise wasn’t Buck at all — it was Eddie.
Hen was with him on Buck’s first day, sharing a coffee at the ping pong table as they waited for Cap to start their morning meeting when Buck walked in. They hadn’t known who he was of course, but he was wearing a backwards baseball cap with an LAFD shirt on, and Hen had watched as Eddie spilled coffee down the front of his shirt as he stared, wide-eyed at him.

Summary
You’re cordially invited to the wedding of Aria and Jack.
Tommy stares at the words glowing on his screen, letting their weight settle in. The little girl who used to beg him for piggyback rides and hold court with her dolls and stuffed animals—she’s getting married? That has to be a mistake. Aria Kinard is five years old. Or at least, that’s how he remembers her. And five is far too young to get married.
He blinks twice. Then three times. Hoping he’s misread the email. But when he opens his eyes, the words remain—unchanged and irrefutable.
His niece, whom he hasn’t seen or heard from since before the pandemic, is getting married. He and a guest are invited. A note at the bottom reveals the wedding will take place just outside Atlanta, along with a number to call to RSVP.
At first, Tommy feels a rush of excitement at the thought of seeing Aria again. But the thrill quickly fades, replaced by a familiar dread. Attending the wedding means facing the very people he’s spent the last fifteen years avoiding.
As the weight of that realization presses down, he wonders: should he skip the event—or is it finally time to confront the past he’s been running from?

Summary
Evan Buckley is a rising star in the world of action cinema. He is known for playing ruggedly charming characters and attracting both women and men alike. The press calls him a womanizer, a playboy who likes to party. The tabloids are filled with stories about him with different women at his side.
But his image is a facade, a carefully constructed fairy tale by his manager, Abby Clark. When a stalker sets his sights on Buck, and the body count rises, Abby takes a stand, insisting on his protection. Buck, resentful of the intrusion, tries to reason with her, but his pleas fall on deaf ears.
She reaches out to her childhood friend Bobby Nash and his wife Athena, the owners of Bedlam Security. They seize the opportunity to bring back one of their best bodyguards, Tommy Kinard. The loss of a protege has left Tommy shattered, the guilt of the man's death weighing heavily on him
Their first meeting is more like the Clash of Titans and their ways part. Not for long. When Buck suffers a traumatic experience, Tommy is the first one he calls. Soon, both know that this job puts them at risk in more ways than one.

the past that haunts the present. see also: list of things that can be haunted: houses, furniture, dolls, and me by him.
Of all the ways his life could go to shit, amnesia wasn't one that Buck had ever really considered, but with the trajectory of his life, he probably should have seen this one coming. The world's still exactly the same as it was yesterday; the sky is blue, the sun rises East and sets West, he's surrounded by people who love him and—
Oh, right! He has a boyfriend.

Summary
Evan ” Nash: A dedicated personal fitness trainer in Los Angeles. He’s raising his 7-year-old daughter, Robyn Nash, who is independent, kind, and surprisingly protective of the people she cares about.
“Eddie” Diaz: A disciplined but warm basketball coach for one of the biggest LA teams. He balances the spotlight of his career with raising his 6-year-old son, Christopher Diaz, who is bright, determined, and lives with cerebral palsy.
Robyn and Christopher meet in elementary school. They click instantly—Christopher feels safe knowing Robyn “has his back,” while Robyn feels like she’s finally found someone who understands her quiet strength. She instinctively steps in to help him when he gets tired, not out of pity but out of loyalty. Their friendship becomes the bridge that ties their fathers together.
Unlike canon, Buck and Eddie don’t know each other through the firehouse. Their worlds collide through their kids’ school events—science fairs, basketball practice, and the chaotic magic of parent-teacher nights.

“Are you daddy’s friend’s magic friend?” She asked, cutely furrowing her brow.
“If I understood that correctly, I am,” Buck said with a chuckle. “I’m a witch. And I take it you’re the one that did magic for the first time today?”
“Yes,” she said, eyes wide as if the surprise had not worn off.
Oh. She hadn’t even known it was a possibility. That made things curious.
“Congratulations,” Buck said. “It’s really cool, right?”
She gave a quick nod and then frowned. “Wait, aren’t all witches supposed to be girls? Wouldn’t you be a wizard or a warlock?”
-
Single dad, Tommy, is shocked to discover that his daughter is a witch.
Buck has been doing magic since he was a baby, he's the perfect option to help Tommy and his daughter out.

“But I did warn you. Don’t say I didn’t. You got your hopes up—”
“—The odds were good,” Phillip interrupts. “We weighed our choices and—you know what, no, we’re not talking about this again. Especially not here.”
“Did you?” Diane cuts in. “Weigh your options?” She nods towards where Evan is examining the green stains on his hands and Valerie snorts a laugh when he stamps his small handprint onto the tablecloth. “He was a saviour sibling. Now what is he? What will you tell him?”
“We tell him nothing,” Margaret sighs to rid her chest of the burden of hospital air. She wraps her arms around herself to sculpt an embrace her mother has yet to give her. “We lost Daniel. We lost our baby boy.” Her voice breaks at the last word, and she lowers her head.
“You still have your family,” says her father Arthur, a quiet, hopeful man.
But his daughter shakes her head. “Not without him. Not anymore.”
OR: A telling of the untold, of the moments between postcards, of the ghost at Buck's shoulder, of the day he said the q-word, of the day he said 'I do'. A rewrite of the show up until season 5 where, eventually, Buck finds a place to call home.
