The kid opened his mouth again. Purpled prepared himself for the same ear-grating screech.
“Are you dumb?” the chicken-coop-kid said, his wings ruffling.
So he could talk.
“What are you doing in my chicken coop?” Purpled asked, slightly affronted.

Dream let out a short chuckle with a fond head shake. “It’s okay. It’s just, I need this party to be perfect so I can get this allyship with the Syndicate, and I guess I’ve been putting it on you. I told you that you could decide how the event looks, and I haven’t been holding myself to that.” Another sigh, “I’ve been too ‘controlling.’ I hate that word, but the others are saying I need to let you have more control.” He gave Tommy a smile. “Sam told me you wanted it to be a costume party.”
Or, Tommy needs to get Essempi an alliance with the Syndicate. He ends up with a new family instead.

Tommy fell to his knees sobbing. He was just so utterly done, he felt invisible at times like this. Times where he was sobbing on his knees in a flowerbed right outside the royal ballroom where a party was in full swing. What made it even worse was that this was a party meant for him, it was his birthday banquet yet it…wasn’t.
It was Theseus Simons Craft’s birthday banquet not Tommy’s.
Tommy wiped his tears on the rough cloth of his sleeves and made haste to his living quarters. Tonight would be the last night Tommy would step into this room.
With shaky hands he wrote;
