Even if it’s a little alienating, the way conversation will sometimes stop as if Zoey isn’t sure she should say it outloud.
But, on the flip side, Mira watches her and avoids her touch. Contemplates for long periods of time, staring at her patterns—the thing that Rumi has been hiding for so long.
