Summary
Izuku Midoriya, born quirkless, treated unfairly for it and pushed down by the whole world for that very thing.
After a brutal reality check, courtesy of the No.1 hero himself (which he totally understands that the man is right, and he was just trying to protect Izuku from the dangers he might put himself in) he went with one last hurrah by getting a taste of the hero life (aka saving his childhood friend from the problem he created in the first place) he goes on, lets go of his lifelong dream of becoming a hero and accepts his fate to be no more that someone watching the heroes from the sidelines.
After middle school, he doesn't go to UA, he goes to a regular public highschool, lives his daily life as a quirkless individual and gets home from school, tired but looking forward to what comes after.
See, he stumbled across a new online MMORPG game during the closing semester of middle school and interested, he tried it out. He became not-so-quick but decent acquaintances (friends) with a player nicknamed "DeWitherer-41", a possible villain enthusiast, or maybe....

As part of the Neko Gaming house, Izuku is under contract to render at least 5 hours of gaming hours for team or individual battle practice. And then UA is requiring mandatory dormitory housing for students with curfew. He'd have dropped-out of UA if he needed to.

Summary
Izuku Midoriy is an average student who spends most of his time playing the game Tempest. Sadly, Tempest's servers are about to be shut down, and nearly all of his friends have already stopped playing. Deciding to stay in the game until the server goes down, Izuku goes to sit on the grounds of the game's starting area.
Eventually, the clock strikes midnight, but the game doesn't log him out even after the server shutdown. He's instead transported to a new world with his in-game items and abilities. His legend as the strongest hero beings now.
