Summary
Jungwon isn't a stranger to danger.
He didn't seek it, but he lived through it from a young age. He's practiced around it. Dancing around with death without ever falling to it is a significant accomplishment, not to mention that he managed to keep his members safe as well. With all the danger he's exposed to, as a member of HYBE and as the leader of Enhypen, he pretty much learns how to survive all kinds of situations.
So Jungwon never thought he would become the cause of his own undoing.
"Your omega," The doctor explained, "You need to let him out. This isn't healthy. You’ll die slowly, and your body will start deteriorating. You need to release him.”
That’s the problem.
Jungwon can’t.

Heeseung tucks one hand into his chest. The other, he presses to his lips, breath hitching like he’s crying when he’s not.
What is he even doing?'Push your hand away.' He thinks. 'Just do it.'
He doesn’t know what the members would say if they saw him. He doesn’t even know what he’d say to himself. Maybe he would walk out of his room, and say nothing at all.
But no matter how much he wills his hand to move, it doesn’t. It’s no use.
Instead, his neck burns with shame. He presses his thumb into his mouth before he can get a say in it, squeezing his eyes shut as if it’ll protect him from himself.It hurts to admit, but that’s all it takes for the world to go quiet. A hush in the air, comforting like a low hum of the wind at night.
This happens more than he’d like to admit, always when everything becomes too much and the world starts to feel too big. But it doesn’t make sense. It never has.
