Rewriting the summary because OH MY GOD, I was like high on sleep deprivation when I wrote this, dear Lord-
Basically, Alastair gets zapped with light by some not-fae or demon lady, brushes it off just to run into a frightened Lucie, who leads them to Thomas, who is getting his butt kicked by day demons... but they're NOT trying to kill him???? That's.... weird. Anyways, something happens, and realizations happen, and they're all scared out of their wits, it gets kinda spooky bro I didn't know I could be spooky but it's spooky (and slightly creepy, whoops), and we figure out what torture befalls the lovely characters of the Last Hours :D

It had taken him two years to fix what he had broken. For everybody to trust him again.
Matthew had gone on some mania-induced bender after the “break-up”. Drinking, drugs, fucking, partying; there wasn’t anything he didn’t do back then. He partied harder than an ‘80s club kid and didn’t eat, barely slept. Just lived until he crashed.
The depression had been intense, he couldn’t get out of bed for days, but he still couldn’t sleep as his mind kept racing and keeping him awake.
He’d sobered up right then and there, asking his parents to pay his way through rehab. He still went to AA three times a week and even saw a therapist, who diagnosed him with bipolar and got him started on medication.
Matthew saw him once a week.

What happened at that last concert (one of the best shows they ever did). James Herondale and Cordelia Carstairs did their epic duet, ‘Show You The World’. It was their best performance of the song to date. After that night, the Thieves split. So did the Carstairs. They all left music.
