This piece is literally a reinterpretation from the show, focusing on the unaired pilot from John's perspective(THIRD PERSON. I hate first person.) The story continues after the Pilot, because they were truly so gay in that one. But this will show how both characters gradually come to realize that they care for each other more than they initially thought, while Sherlock struggles to understand how to deal with these sentiments.

Sherlock and Jim had been already together before the Reichenbach Fall. And then Jim went and did what he did anyway.
So much angst—but a happy ending, I promise.
Hozier, Take Me To Church. For me, this has always been the ultimate Sheriarty song. "A giggle at a funeral"? Come on. I found a lovely violin rendition (by @IneseOfficial on YouTube) to listen to while writing this, which I highly, highly recommend.
